Mankato's Spring clean-up will be held Saturdays through May 23. This year, Spring clean-up features extended hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 221 Lamm Street. Mankato residents may dispose of unwanted items during Spring clean-up, a value-added benefit of Mankato’s garbage and recycling service.
Electronics, such as televisions and computers, will be accepted. Items not accepted: concrete, asphalt, tires, appliances, recyclable material and hazardous waste. Residents can dispose of unwanted prescriptions and nonprescriptions during Spring clean-up. Medications can also be brought to drop boxes at the city of Mankato’s Public Safety Center, 710 South Front Street, or the Blue Earth County Justice Center, 401 Carver Road.
Schedule curbside appliance recycling pick-up--During Spring clean-up appliance recycling is a curbside service. It’s easy to schedule an appliance pick-up. Simply call 311 or 507-387-8600. Cost is $15 per appliance.
